Who we are

Mindspark Plus Social Wall is operated by MINDSPARK PLUS ΑΜΚΕ, a civil non-profit company under Greek law (G.E.MI. no. 190084621000, VAT no. EL996890054), Konstantinoupoleos 34, 68132 Alexandroupoli, Greece. We are the data controller for the data described here. Contact: info@mindsparkplus,com.

What the app does

Mindspark Plus Social Wall runs moderated "social walls" for public-interest campaigns and events organised by MINDSPARK PLUS ΑΜΚΕ and its partners. A social wall is a web page, also shown on screens at events, that displays photos and messages people send to the campaign and public social media posts that use the campaign's hashtags. A moderator reviews every item before it appears.

Data we receive from Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

• Administrators who connect the app with Facebook Login. Their app-scoped Facebook user ID and name, the Facebook Pages they manage with the Instagram professional accounts linked to them, and an access token. Tokens are stored encrypted and are used only to make requests to the Instagram Graph API for the connected account.
• Public posts found with Instagram Hashtag Search. For public photos and videos that use the campaign's hashtags: the caption, the image or video thumbnail, the link to the post and the time it was published. Instagram does not provide the username of these posts and we do not collect it.
• Posts of our own accounts. Posts published by the Instagram professional account and the Facebook Page connected by the administrator.

We do not access private messages, followers, friends lists, insights or any non-public information. We do not use Meta data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or license it to anyone.

Data from other sources

• Direct submissions. A photo and/or message and an optional name that a visitor sends through the wall. We remove all metadata from photos, including location.
• Other platforms. Public posts from YouTube, Bluesky, X and TikTok that use the campaign's hashtags or that a visitor submits by link. Some of these may be collected through Juicer (juicer.io), an aggregation service acting on our behalf.
• Abuse prevention. A keyed hash of the visitor's IP address, kept for 30 days to limit repeated submissions. We do not store the IP address itself.

How we use the data

Only to show approved posts on the campaign's social wall page and on screens at the campaign's events, and to moderate them. Posts that are not approved are never shown publicly.

Legal basis

Consent, for content people submit directly (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Our legitimate interest in showing, for a limited time, public posts whose authors chose to tag them with the campaign's hashtag (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time and we will remove the post.

How long we keep data

• Posts: for the duration of each campaign and at the latest έως τρεις μήνες μετά τη λήξη της καμπάνιας.
• Access tokens: until the administrator disconnects the app, the token expires (about 60 days), or we receive a deletion request.
• When a post is deleted or made private on Instagram and you tell us, we remove it from the wall within 7 days.

Who we share data with

Our hosting provider, which stores the data in the European Union, and Juicer where it is used as described above. We do not share data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Only authorised moderators can access the administration area.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction, deletion or restriction of your data, object to its use, or ask for a copy, by writing to info@mindsparkplus,com. You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).

Deleting your data

See how to delete your data. If you remove Mindspark Plus Social Wall from your Facebook settings (Settings and privacy > Settings > Apps and websites), we automatically delete the access token linked to your account.
